COI[edit]

Editor having very simular name as article Mlpearc MESSAGE 03:00, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm talking it over with Mr. Walker via email, and he regrets having edited the article, since it looks like puffery, even though what he actually did was remove content that looked like puffery. (See Catch 22 :-) ) Anyway, I'm encouraging him to ask someone else (say, for example, me) to make any edits that he believes are necessary, so this won't happen again. It looks like all his contributions have been reverted, so I'm removing the tag from the article. --GRuban (talk) 23:41, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

While Titans of Finance may prove to be notable, it does not appear that Rob Walker has significant coverage in secondary sources. If there are secondary sources that discuss Rob Walker (other than commentary on Titans of Finance) rather than just material he has written, please could you cite to them? --Bejnar (talk) 05:01, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

He's a columnist for the New York Times, he's notable. Beyond My Ken (talk) 05:05, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
A professor is not notable because he is at Harvard. Why should a journalist be notable because he is at the New York Times? Notability is not transferred. --Bejnar (talk) 05:35, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
