Reviews[edit]

Your article was written very clearly, was neutral and free of personal bias. You have made great progress with conveying information about Rosie Haber's life, including her career accomplishments. Good amount of references, which include a lot of newspaper articles. Some improvements to be made are to include a photo that identifies the filmmaker in question and includes basic information, such as her name, date, and place of birth, her occupations, and awards (optional). The article is missing a biography, filmography, and career subheading; requires more details on her work and also her early life and education (this can be included in a different subheading). For the references, it would be useful to obtain more independent, primary sources such as journal articles and books that discuss Rosie's work in more detail. More detail is required for the article; there are very short sentences that require more information. There is also minor spelling and grammar issues, in particular with the part that says, "Rosie Haber is a is a gender non-conforming writer and director of commercial, music, and documentary films based in Los Angeles, California". The correct text should read, "Rosie Haber is a gender non-conforming writer and director of commercial, music, and documentary films based in Los, Angeles, California"). Another sentence that requires revision is, "In 2013 she was selected for the Outfest 2013 Screenwriters Lab for her feature screenplay Soledad". It should read, "In 2013, she was selected for the Outfest 2013 Screenwriters Lab for her feature screenplay Soledad". Overall, good article. Minniemousex3 (talk) 01:54, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your article is very well-written and is easy to follow. I really appreciate your ability to convey the information you've researched in an accessible format. In order to keep the different sections of the article organized, some of the information in your opening paragraph could be placed under the Awards section of your article. Besides the table, it would be nice to see some of this written information in the Awards section. In the section 'Additional Work', I believe 'Chingonas' is the name of one their new works. Please italicize it if that's correct. In order to give the article's biographical aspect depth, it would be nice to see a section detailing their education or any aspects of their personal life you have found. Overall, I think your article has been well researched and you've done a great job at remaining neutral in your writing. Catlady25 (talk) 17:31, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Article title change[edit]

How do you change the title of this page form Rosie to Ro to match the artist's present identity? https://m.imdb.com/name/nm4971690/ Lirani (talk) 05:18, 25 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Lirani: The key thing we'll need is reliable sourcing. IMDB is not a reliable source (at least for anything beyond cast list and credits). The status quo for the page shows every source using "Rosie" as the subject's name, although it is telling that the rosiehaber.com website is dead, replaced by rowanhaber.com. Compounding/confusing the issue is that "Ro" appears to be a short form of "Rosie".
Based on the subject's website, I think I'm going to do a bold move. —C.Fred (talk) 13:52, 25 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have not gone so far as to put Rowan in the intro. Even though that is the URL of Haber's website, I don't see them refer to themselves as "Rowan" at any point. Had they done so, I would have recast the intro sentence as "Rowan Haber, formerly known as Rosie Haber", in a manner similar to Elliot Page. Like Page and his old name, we can't obliterate "Rosie" from this page entirely because they became notable under that name. However, I feel the safe route under MOS:GENDERID is to go with "Ro" for the page title.
This raises another issue. Does Haber still qualify for membership in the categories for women film directors and screenwriters? —C.Fred (talk) 14:07, 25 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
