Assessment[edit]

Assessed as start and low importance for WP:WikiProject Rivers. Needs further referencing, a map and could benefit from expanding into structure as suggested at project page. Jezhotwells (talk) 19:18, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

River Gascoigne[edit]

According to the Somerset rivers website, the River Gascoigne is a tributary of the River Yeo, not an alternative name for the whole river.--Mhockey (talk) 12:45, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Care is needed as there are (at least) 6 River Yeos in Somerset.— Rod talk 12:51, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at this article I think you are probably right. We could start a new article on the Gascoigne or just change the wording on this one to describe it as a tributary. What do you think is best?— Rod talk 13:08, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'd go with tweaking this article. The tributary is a bit too short to merit its own article.--Mhockey (talk) 20:46, 20 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Move[edit]

I have moved the page back to its previous title. There are two problems with the proposed new title:

1. There are several River Yeos in Somerset, and it is not clear why this one should be at River Yeo, Somerset.

2. WP:COMMADIS supports bracket disambiguation rather than comma. There is no natural disambiguation, and neither Somerset nor South Somerset is a "higher-level administrative division" - a doubtful concept for rivers, which do not fit administrative boundaries well. So the default disambiguation seems to apply.--Mhockey (talk) 18:28, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
