Article quality[edit]

Hi all. I've rewritten portions of this article to more accurately describe characters, plot, and historical and cultural context. I also removed the unnecessary and un-encyclopedic "Reviews and comments" section. It's still badly in need of better/more accessible/just more references and sources. Regarding "no copyright agreement between China and America"[edit]

Quote from the article: Lao She never agreed to these changes, but because there was no copyright agreement between China and the United States at the time,[Citation needed] he could not prevent the spread of this version of the novel.

Lao She himself wrote that in a preface in a 1950 print of Rickshaw Boy (see Chinese wikisource: https://zh.m.wikisource.org/wiki/%E9%AA%86%E9%A9%BC%E7%A5%A5%E5%AD%90/%E5%BA%8F ). ... I wonder what sort of citation is needed there, does it need 3rd party sources that state the lack of a copyright agreement? User670839245 (talk) 16:09, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
