Untitled[edit]

This page would really benefit from a story about how Thorpe was hired and then fired as the director for The Wizard of Oz. --Saforrest 00:19, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Surviving Oz footage in final film?? Not certain.[edit]

Am skeptical of the claim that any Thorpe footage made it into the final film, particularly Toto's escape from the Witch's castle, as surviving stills indicate the placement of certain props in the castle was modified when Victor Fleming took over, and different staging was used for the escape itself (rather than the guards following him, as was the case in the final film, a still shows them waiting on the other side of the drawbridge gap as Toto prepares to jump). Can anyone definitively confirm it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by RadioChuck (talkcontribs) 02:32, 17 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
