Untitled[edit]

In the book Film Facts (New York: Billboard Books, 2001), author Patrick Robertson calls Richard Mulligan "mentally handicapped [p.102]," which I have not seen anywhere else. Does anyone know what kind of "handicap" Mulligan had, if any? I thought he was brilliantly funny. 205.166.161.61 (talk) 23:18, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Brumbar[reply]

  • I suspect that that is just an error on Robertson's part. I have noticed some other errors nearby in the book as well. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 05:47, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Empty Nest[edit]

He was the lead and won an Emmy for the Golden Girls spinoff Empty Nest. This is mentioned under "Recognition," but shouldn't it be discusesed as part of his career? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8806:2400:415:3449:5216:77EB:E931 (talk) 01:54, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Odd Line[edit]

Hi

I found this line in the death section odd "Mulligan was also survived by special friends and Empty Nest costars Dinah Manoff and Kristy McNichol and David Leisure and Park Overall."
Do we know they were special friends? What qualified them as special friends. No notation or source quoted. Did he not have special friends from SOAP? Should his friends even be listed? 2603:7000:BE00:4B:69C8:16E4:E45B:EF63 (talk) 18:47, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
