Missing items about Bey[edit]

Richard Bey's Turkish heritage isn't detailed here. I gather his father was a Turkish Jew. Besides the obvious clue of his last name, Bey hosted a travelogue special on WOR9 at some point during the late 80s where he visited Turkey.

In the early history section, Bey had a female co-host on "People Are Talking," though I'm having a bit of difficulty recalling her name. There were some hints on that show of where the show would take itself in the future. While the show was the typical morning talk show of the day, with a man and woman with a batch of sponsored pastries/bagels discussed things that were happening from their contrasting perspectives, Bey would push the envelope a good bit more.

On the original WOR Richard Bey Show, Bey frequently featured strippers competing on the show. Usually the games were themed around a holiday or event. There was a pilgrims vs Indians themed competition, and another competition featured "Stripocrats vs. Stripublicans." —Preceding unsigned comment added by TimBRoy (talkcontribs) 15:58, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WWOR, not WOR. The station became WWOR already in 1987. RobertFL1991 (talk) 04:53, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure in the late 1980s, It wasn't called "The Richard Bey Show". It was some talk show similar (but not quite like) Regis & Kathy Lee hosted by some of it's news anchors at the time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.212.223.233 (talk) 19:09, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It was the predecesor of "The Richard Bey Show" as it became that, but the show was hosted by multiple people such as Matt Lauer. RobertFL1991 (talk) 04:55, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
