Does anyone know what the exact electoral system being used here was? I'm struggling to get how some of these results could have almost always turned into clean sweeps for the party who finished first (even when a different candidate got 40%+ of the vote in a three-member seat). I don't really know how it works myself. From what I can tell, the electoral system at the 1930 and 1933 election seemed to be a unique blend of preferential voting and multi-member election to these seats. I was fairly hesitant in doing these elections in the first place because they were nothing like the Tasmanian Hare-Clark system or any other Australian election system at the time. However, all I can tell from this electoral system was that a split vote between 3 Labor Parties resulted in them losing most of their seats. Kirsdarke01 (talk) 11:37, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
