There have been several clubs in North America to use the name "Rebels MC". In my region (Western Canada) there was a club operating out of Edmonton called the Rebels that was a dominant outlaw club during the seventies and eighties. After that, they became subservient to the Grim Reapers, who were later (1997) patched over to the Hells Angels. Up until then, the Rebels had been an affiliated club with the Angels for a while in Alberta and/or mostly Saskatchewan, and then more recently (2004) some guys who claimed Rebel roots tried to start a Bandidos chapter in Edmonton and got offed or run out of town by (we think) the HA. Not sure if there are still any "Rebels" operating anywhere in North America currently, but it remains unclear (at least from my vantage point) if there is any connection to the boys down under other than using a (less than original) common name for an outlaw club.
