Merge Holdings?[edit]

Both the El Torito and Chevy's articles are pretty thin, and I'm guessing that there isn't going to be a lot of third-party literature written about either. Pages for other Real Mex chains are empty, and again are unlikely to ever grow significantly beyond a few franchising facts from the official pages of the chains and/or Real Mex. Would it make sense to merge and redirect the various restaurants that Real Mex owns to this page? --Clay Collier (talk) 21:27, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Definately not! Minute Maid and Odwalla both have their own articles, even though they're owned by Coca-Cola! Any non-notable articles should be removed, but both examples you cited are definately worth an article of their own. Intothewoods29 (talk) 07:32, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Not saying they're not notable- just saying that there seems to be very little 3rd party information available about them compared to the brands that you cite. It seems that by combining them with pages from related franchises (obviously giving each chain its own section containing the current information), it would produce a more useful article by outlining the relations with the parent and sibling companies and the differences between the chains. What information is there to add, for instance, about El Torito that would cause the article to grow beyond the stub phase? --Clay Collier (talk) 08:52, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
