Samuel Eto'o[edit]

Why is everyone listing Eto'o as former player for Real Madrid B when he never played a match or even sat on the subs' bench for Madrid B? Raul17 04:46, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Selected Former Players[edit]

What kind of section is that? If it is what I think it is, users putting their favorite players there, I delete it. Mallerd (talk) 19:26, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Doubt about Honours[edit]

Hi. I've seen this section and I'm intrigued by how many titles of Segunda B this team has. Recently is the 2011–12 season, they actually are champions of their group, but non of the league. The four group champions play one match between them to decide the two teams that immediately go to Segunda División, later those two teams play another match to decide who is the champion of Segunda División B, as you can see it here. I'm correct or we leave it that way? –HD Ask, comment, talk! 19:20, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Futbolme has been listed all the 1st place finishers with league champions and added runner-up status to those finalists in Segunda División B championship match from last three seasons. I have not check other sites, but I think there should be a notation of overall 2ªB champions. Raul17 (talk) 01:29, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Alternate kit for Castilla[edit]

Castilla has worn a red kit vs Guadalajara on September 23 and a green one vs Recreativo on April 13. In the kit template, only three can be shown. If they wear, say purple, would that color be listed as the third kit? Raul17 (talk) 19:11, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Captains[edit]

Tomás is still registered with Castilla and is the senior person on the squad which usually means he should be the captain of the team. But it seems he has not even practiced with the club, he has been training with Madrid. If he loaned, sold or even released, there's no problem. However, there's a possibility that he can play for the team and would be wearing the armband like Chendo would when he subbed on wearing the captain's band during his waning days at Madrid. If there's no objections, I will list Tomás as captain with the three vice-captains. Thanks Raul17 (talk) 23:39, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Julio Iglesias was goalkeeper with this team before he became a singer. Any info as to for how long or if they won any important matches with him? I presume he's the most famous former player but doesn't get a mention. Any thoughts?--Tuzapicabit (talk) 11:40, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That's because there is little or no reliable infomation available. Most sources list him playing for Real Madrid Castilla in 1962 when Castila was founded ten years later! Plus Ultra was the reserve club at the time. I think he lat played for the Juvenil B team but he could have played for Plus Ultra's youth team, since Plus Ultra also had its own youth section (as did Castilla). Thanks! Thanks so much for looking into this. Have always been curious. Was going to mention it here, but perhaps not then!--Tuzapicabit (talk) 13:33, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I had wondered about it also, but I thought it must have been a hoax that he even played the game! Glad to help! Raul17 (talk) 23:47, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The biggest problem will be that someone will re-edit Martin Ødegaard eventhough he is not with Castilla. My roster information is from the Real Federación de Fútbol de Madrid (RFFM) website which all clubs from Madrid register their players that are playing outside the Primera División and Segunda División which are professional leagues in Spain. Since Ødegaard is eligible to play in the juveniles (for Madrid A or Madrid B, it allows Castilla to open up a roster spot for another player.

The next problem will be that the Madrid website list him as a player and therefore he should be on the roster. Which is reasonable until the fact that Castilla plays in the Segunda División B where teams can only register twenty-two players! The site list twenty-five players excluding Rubén Yáñez but including Ødegaard, Raúl de Tomás, Borja Mayoral and Miguel García Lucio (Garci).

Hopefully, the roster will remain as is until official changes are made. Raul17 II (talk) 22:03, 23 August 2015 (UTC) aka Raul17 (talk) until I can regain my password![reply]
