Libertines 2010[edit]

Someone change 2010 Libertines note that Pete Doherty played R&L with them for the 1st time, that is false as they played together in 2002 and i can't edit the page for some reason.

Prodigy 2011[edit]

Prodigy have been officially comfirmed as not playing 2011.

Anti-Flag 2008[edit]

Anti-Flag are playing two sets (they are the special guests on the Lock-Up stage).[1] I would update the info but the page has been locked.--Iknowmole (talk) 12:16, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

where're 91 or 92?[edit]

these two years are well renowned. where are their lineups —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.180.161.129 (talk) 22:11, 30 June 2008 (UTC) and pre-mean fiddler is missing too —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.180.180.78 (talk) 22:07, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Creation of Article[edit]

The reason for this article's creation can be seen on the talk page of Reading and Leeds Festivals. It is clearly incomplete at the moment and will be finished by the end of the week. On the other hand, if you feel you can contribute, go ahead! Robdurbar 09:38, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

New bands Announced[edit]

According to their official Myspace, Does It Offend You, Yeah? are playing on the friday. From First To Last also have Carling weekend listed on theres and i'm pretty sure they mean Reading and Leeds despite the fact Carling are no longer the official sponsor.

Days[edit]

I distinctly remember missing Goldie Lookin' Chain at reading on the Friday in 2004. Morwen - Talk 15:36, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yeah, that's me, a Leeds-goer, not being used to ordering things with the Reading Friday first; thanks Robdurbar 16:23, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've done all the ones so far (up to main stage 2002) checking that they go to the right page. As this page will end up massive I suggest we split it by decade eventually - something like Reading and Leeds Festivals Line-Ups 1990s. We've got a random selection of headliners on the main festival page, some of the festival fan sites have images of the festival posters from various years as well. The ideal, of course, would be someone having the running order laminate!Secretlondon 19:16, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've also found resources that give a list of band who played all dates from 1973, but no running order of them, just alphabetical order by stage I'm afraid Robdurbar 15:21, 31 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Dance tent[edit]

We need to be careful that we get the correct headliners - the DJs don't count. For example on Sun at Reading the headliner was Mylo (we have this correctly) not James Murphy. James Murphy played after Mylo but it was more of a wind-down. I appreciate this may not make a lot of sense. 2005 is fine but I think some of the earlier ones may include DJs. Rumours[edit]

Should we have a section of rumoured lineups? I'm not sure wikipedia is supposed to be a crystal ball. Y control 13:34, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism...[edit]

Due to this vandalism and protection, plus the fact that this is the first time I've tried since I created an account, I can't edit the page. The link for CSS (Dance Stage Headliners) links to programming code cascading style sheets, where it should link to "Cansei de Ser Sexy", for those that can. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Timc2503 (talkcontribs) 18:36, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The site keeps getting trashed by annoying people who think its funny to put Hilary Duff as headliner or something just as stupid, can you please block such rubbish as its going to continue —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.40.190.187 (talk) 19:34, 9 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Kate Nash has been changed to Kate Gash. Sigh. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 85.211.237.142 (talk) 23:31, August 22, 2007 (UTC)

Biddle[edit]

Someone has been reyt witty and changed the whole 2000 line-up to names with Biddle. Oh that is so hilarious.... It's the guy 81.145.240..... just thought I'd point it out as I have no idea how to revert his additions without getting rid of all the recent updates or really being assed Giveitallforcheese 13:08, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've put a cleanup tag on this section - couldn't find a specific one for vandalism. I also couldn't revert the edit (and don't have time to update the lineup). It appears that the user has been previously banned for vandalism in the last few months, and I've left a message on their talk page. Not that it'll help or anything... Lock Up/New Found Glory[edit]

I've changed the lock up stage text to reflect the fact that the bands are just rumoured. New Found Glory, for example, are not playing as their offical myspace pages states that they are touring in the USA that weekend. Although some have self confirmed, they have not been confirmed by MF and sometimes pull out (like NOFX this year). Trixxy 16:42, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comedy Tent[edit]

Does anyone have a list of the comedy lineup for the previous years festivals that could be added? Crislee 88 18:07, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

It'd be nice to see where some of this information is coming from- especially re the Dance stage and whether Peeping Tom are playing or not. I ask mainly because the official website for reading still says there's a seperate dance stage and it still says they're playing. Spugmeister 12:09, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have a couple here:

http://www.mgillespie.plus.com/Gigs/2002/images/reading1.jpg http://www.mgillespie.plus.com/Gigs/2003/images/reading1.jpg http://www.mgillespie.plus.com/Gigs/2004/images/readingfestival2004.jpg http://www.mgillespie.plus.com/Gigs/2005/images/reading05.jpg

I stopped going then, because the lineups became crap, and because it was more about the "festi" image and full of annoying students than it was about the music :-( —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.174.171.21 (talk) 07:45, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of Line Up rumours[edit]

Rumours for future line ups shouldn't be added to this page. The information should only be added when it's officially announced by the organisers. Darksun (talk) 16:56, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was getting ridiculous, which is why I semi-protected the page. Neıl 09:54, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Broadway Calls have confirmed that they will be at Reading and Leeds. I spoke to Matt Koenig (bassist) on Thursday. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.100.45.121 (talk) 13:10, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You actually really need to lock this page until another announcement because I keep having to delete people adding 'bowling for soup' and 'Pendulum' to the Sunday Reading/Saturday Leeds Line up Main Stage ~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.39.219.19 (talk) 02:21, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about all the links to disambiguation pages[edit]

So thanks to my edits a banner has been placed at the top of the page. Sorry about that. I'm thinking of adding some more info, but I'll make sure to try harder to avoid disambiguation pages next time. Some of them should have been obvious and I just missed them, but a few I genuinely didn't think would have multiple pages. ThebetterFrancisWilliams (talk) 11:23, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
