Buffalo[edit]

I reverted several edits indicating Boon's affinity for buffalo. I am think that is probably vandalism.. Is there a source for any of that? Charles Edward (Talk) 23:35, 21 November 2008 (UTC

Firearms Project ?![edit]

Why in the world is Boon's article included in this project? He was apprenticed for a couple of years to a gunsmith in Kentucky, and then quit. He never had anything further to do with firearms in his life -- except insofar as every male on the frontier possessed a rifle and many blacksmiths and other technical types repaired them (including several of my own Indiana forebears). And he shot wolves for the bounty. And that's it? If this faint connection is sufficient to include him in this project, then the project would have to include all U.S. military officers & soldiers about whom there are articles -- in fact, everyone who lived on the American frontier, from Jamestown on. Ridiculous. --Michael K SmithTalk 16:25, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
