I added the stub 1-25-06. I plan to expand it as time permits. Applejuicefool 20:28, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Added pic and external links with Prairie Traveler link 1-26 Applejuicefool 03:05, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Does this mean that there used to be a dedicated page for Prairie Traveler? If so, what happened to it? Valetude (talk) 11:25, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ellen Mary?[edit]

His daughter is identified as 'Ellen Mary' on this site, but 'Mary Ellen' on McClellan's site. Which is correct? Valetude (talk) 13:12, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Re-draft 12/4/15[edit]

1. I have transferred the material from the overlong lede into the main article, and supplied a new lede that summarises the article at appropriate length.

2. Prairie Traveler: This book clearly merits a dedicated page, for which the current copy would be too short. Meanwhile it seems too long for an article about the author, not the publication, so I have edited-down.

3. Inspector General: On the Wiki page dedicated to Inspector General of the U.S. Army, Marcy’s dates of office are given as 1861-1881. This appears to conflict with the data on the Marcy page (up to today).

4. The botanical reference. This would really belong on a page about the relevant species, and linked-back to this one. Valetude (talk) 11:15, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Any relation?[edit]

There is no mention of his parentage. Was he related to the statesman William L. Marcy (1786–1857)? Valetude (talk) 12:57, 17 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Albert Sidney Johnston?[edit]

Why is his photo the first thing you see? 192.67.88.183 (talk) 00:43, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
