raielec[edit]

There is a section called raielec. I Google but can't find exactly what it is. Is that the name of a company? Or do you mean Rail Electric, and this is some form of abbreviation for it? rai is the abbreviation of iranian railway in UIC(union of international railways) and elec stands for electrification.

Photos from various countries[edit]

Why shall we have a lot of railway photos from various countries, like Germany, France and United Kingdom? Journalistic news articles often have photos not related to the text, only as nice illustration. But this is an encyclopedia not a news article. A few months ago, in this article, I saw the photo of the railway construction near Ingolstadt, Germany. It was not written then that it was from Germany so I thought it was an Iranian high speed railway under construction. But it is not so I removed the image, and requsted sources for railway plans. This removal and request was reverted. --BIL (talk) 15:13, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, it seems rather bizarre to use so many photos from other countries. -- Eraserhead1 <talk> 08:22, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Project management[edit]

This article has various sections which just describe standard practice in infrastructure project management, and are of no value whatever in an article about rail electrification in Iran. Please do not reinstate them without discussing them here first. - Fayenatic (talk) 22:12, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

A very large volume of stuff has been added to this article, but very few sources. Most of it was talking about railways in other countries, or external standards, with no explanation of why this is relevant to Iran; I have removed a lot of that. A lot of what remains is, at least, about railways in Iran; but it's still unsourced. Further references would be very welcome. Simply collecting examples of projects in other countries and presenting them as "Maybe something like this could happen in Iran" would be original research. bobrayner (talk) 14:38, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's still a problem. If you don't have good sources, please don't add stuff to the article. bobrayner (talk) 11:18, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
