One of the questions is citations not just of Drijvers but also of his reports of Bp. Rabbula actually persecuting Jews. I myself know of none, though I'm hardly an expert. (Of his pursuing and persecuting Christian 'heretics', there's plenty of evidence of that.) Of his many hospitals, one fairly recent book summarized the known information: 'God Knows There's Need: Christian Responses to Poverty', by Susan R. Holman, esp. p. 63 & 64. It is clear in the sources that Jews and heretics could receive care at the hospitals no less than anyone else. Rlongman (talk) 02:30, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Augustine[edit]

Just peeked at the edit history and noticed that it was claimed it isn’t self-evident Rabbula has nothing to do with Augustine. If it isn’t abundantly clear, Augustine is not mentioned anywhere else in the article. I am fairly sure Rabbula knew absolutely no Latin. Including a snipe from Augustine in a biographical section makes this page substantially less credible--and makes it seem a good deal more like some kind of polemical screed. 199.89.180.254 (talk) 17:56, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
