I Must be Missing Something[edit]

I cannot make head or tail of the very first sentence:

The command line software packet rtmpdump can issue a connection request to an RTMP server like a normal Flash Client[1] such as rtmpdump.

This is how it sounds to me, by way of analogy:

The hydrocarbon ethyl alcohol can replace up to 80% by volume of a traditional internal combustion fuel such as ethanol.

It makes no damn sense--can anyone possibly explain this? I would assume the second reference to rtmpdump was meant to read Adobe Flash plug-in--but that would be a catastrophic typo in the first sentence of an article that has been edited at least five times.
