I would scrap pricing with tax (and just show untaxed price, basically are you going to change it when tax changes and where that tax is for?)

Change it to release price too, that way you'll not need to change it in the future. --Bensimmo (talk) 14:01, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of announced products[edit]

Given the global significance of the Raspberry Pi Foundations outputs and the range of add-on modules & applications that it has spawned, the release of an internally designed Microcontroller has significant importance in making this class of computing more accessible to all.

There is/was a table of products from third party companies, all well known names, that had invested time & money in creating their own designs using the RP2040 which highlighted the differences between the products. It also served to emphasise that these companies considered that the launch of the RP2040 was significant.

It is acknowledged that "Wikipedia is not a collection of product announcements and rumors" however many other Wiki pages have similar comparison tables.

It has been less than a month so fleshing out the main article will take a little more time as the community get to grips with the details - such as the hugely versatile Programmable Input-Output, the close to the bare-metal SDK or using the RP2040 to act as a programmer/debugger for itself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nmccloud (talkcontribs) 21:37, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

List of Specs aka Features[edit]

I added the list of general specs of the RP2040, but this has been removed for some reason. In my opinion they are quite important, also if you look at similar microcontroller pages, they also like the general specifications. Reverted and added some common links. If you know of a good link for PIO or QSPI... --Bensimmo (talk) 16:17, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Arduino[edit]

Is RP2040 compatible with Arduino software? Is there a website that can be cited about how to set that up?

"other manufacturers"[edit]

The sentence "At announcement time four other manufacturers (Adafruit, Pimoroni, Arduino, SparkFun) were at advanced stages of their product design, awaiting the widespread availability of chips to be put in to production." seems problematic:

  • "Other manufacturers" that manufacture what, other microchips?
  • "at advanced stages" because they had been informed in secrecy earlier?
  • What do the "product"s have to do with the RP2040, why "awaiting"?
  • When did "widespread availability" occur if not right after the announcement?
  • What "chips"?
  • The cited Twitter post seems cryptic, it just says "toys incoming."
