Common name[edit]

Danbloch, I can find no sources using Vivian Award (with award capitalized) for the RWA award, only Vivian and The Vivian. What are your sources for changing the capitalization? Schazjmd (talk) 15:07, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Primarily https://www.rwa.org/Online/News/2020/RWA_Announces_Entry_Dates_for_The_Vivian.aspx. But even without that, consistency argues for capitalizing it, as was done for Rita Award and is done for Hugo Award, Edgar Award, Spur Award, etc. Regards, Dan Bloch (talk) 18:00, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well, at least there's that one mention that uses it, although the bulk of their mentions seem to be going with The Vivian. Schazjmd (talk) 18:09, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How shall this new award be integrated into the page? Should there be a new top-level section for VIVIAN or should they be added as 2021 into each existing category?:

I'd suggest changing the Winners heading to RITA Award winners, then add a VIVIAN Award winners section. Schazjmd (talk) 14:32, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Since the Vivian is a new award and not a renaming of the RITA, there should be a new article for it. But if someone wants to add a section for the Vivian winners here that's a perfectly good first step. Dan Bloch (talk) 14:47, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Schazjmd and Danbloch: As a stepping stone, I'll create the new section starting with the 2021 winners. I agree that ultimately a new article for VIVIAN Award may be needed. Thanks. - DutchTreat (talk) 12:52, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
