Televisions: ON Corporation or TCL?[edit]

I've been seeing conflicting information as to whether RCA-branded televisions are made by ON Corporation (a privately held Korean company) or TCL (a Chinese company). The article says it's ON Corporation, but includes a link to TCL with no explanation as to the connection. This needs to be documented and cleaned up.

Infobox[edit]

Is there an infobox for a brand name not connected to any company other than the trademark owner which licenses the trademark to other companies? Steelbeard1 (talk) 17:12, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on RCA (trademark). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. RCA trademark ownership[edit]

No evidence was found that the RCA trademark has been sold. The official RCA web site still lists the owner of the RCA name as Technicolor SA. Steelbeard1 (talk) 21:34, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

His master's Voice[edit]

This article is kind of a mess with the attempt to force the reference of "Nipper/His Master's Voice." Remingtonhill1 (talk) 06:08, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

One of RCA’s licensees[edit]

Alco Electronics is one of RCA’s licensees and their North American division is based in Markham, Ontario of Canada. Well technically there are two North American divisions of Alco Electronics, one of them is Venturer and the other is AVC Multimedia. I’ve seen the “AVC Multimedia” mention on RCA branded audio systems, as well as some portable DVD players. They also sold the STB7766G DTV converter model series under both RCA and Venturer. In addition, some Audiovox branded portable DVD players I’ve seen mention either Venturer Electronics or Alco Electronics. So I’m going to guess AVC Multimedia is a joint venture between both Audiovox (now Voxx International) and Alco/Venturer. I’d certainly like to know what the “AVC” part stands for. Haven’t really found the meaning anywhere on Google, so thank you in advance. 2601:4C4:4000:A8C0:9C8C:10AE:9A73:7BF9 (talk) 00:56, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
