Comment added to article rather than its Talk page :([edit]

Someone inserted an objection in the text of the article, rather than bringing it to the Talk page:

"StatsCan reports as of 2011 just 455 speakers of LSQ, however it is estimated that 2.6% (or 5,030 people) of Quebec’s population possessed hearing deficiency. *this information is incorrect. 2.6% of 8.6 million is 172,000 not 5,030: wrong by multiple orders of Magnitude. That is not to say that every person with hearing loss signs LSQ, but it also misses the many people who use LSQ daily who are also hearing: Children of Deaf Adults, interpreters, etc."

I don't have reliable sources on LSQ or Quebec demographics I can use to correct this myself, but it would be great if someone could. Ellenkeyne (talk) 04:57, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
