Cultural References[edit]

Bcorr, I like your edits except for the removal of a literary quotation of the rhyme. As a compromize though, I think I'll add a section of cultural references to make the article more organized. ~Kruck 19:23, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am from Pennsylvania and always wondered about the origin of this rhyme. My parents taught it to us this way: Quaker's meeting has begun, no more talking, no more fun, no more chewing bubblegum. ~KRGB

You are definitely correct, KRGB. I'd heard it that way too. The article used to contain variations of the rhyme, but those were deleted. ~Kruck 17:18, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

--- I remember hearing this from my father everynight right before bed ---

Quake a meeting has begun. No more laughing, no more fun. If you show your teeth or tongue, you shall pay a forfeit.

None of the links to cultural references really works as expected. I removed one that was to a porn related site. I assume the rest probably did work at one point but Google books isn't showing those pates. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mcsmom (talkcontribs) 17:13, 16 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
