Pegasus?[edit]

Western mythologists consider Chollima a Korean form of Pegasus.

Huh? Is this some sort of mixup with Cheonma? --Kjoonlee 14:27, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Horse?[edit]

How fast is this horse? In MPH please, Km/h confuses me. Testmasterflex (talk) 04:31, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As we are talking about the Chollima, I would imagine that the proper units would be "ri per day". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rugxulo (talkcontribs) 22:50, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wings?[edit]

The Chinese Qianlima is not winged. --刻意(Kèyì) 10:02, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Realistic riding distances[edit]

The article mentions "it's actually quite easily achievable and conceivable for an average horse to travel 500-600km in a day", which is ludicrous. Let's look at some average horse gait speeds:

Normal walk: 6-7 km/h Trot: 12-19 km/h Canter: 16-26 km/h Gallop: 40-48 km/h

A horse would have to move at a trot or higher for a FULL 24 hours (no stopping, no resting) in order to pull off a "thousand li in a day". Some endurance horse races (like Travis Cup) equal out at a travel of around 160km in a day (24 hour period), and those are endurance trained horses. 500km in a day is not only very far from "easily achievable" , it is likely impossible. 85.194.39.15 (talk) 00:16, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
