Airlines[edit]

Many of these airlines are actually inacurate as most of these airlines don't actually have any schedule fights to Punta Cana, but may be requested for a charter flight as most airlines in the world do. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.11.207.110 (talk • contribs) 01:21, 4 January 2007 (UTC-7)

Many destinations have been added to airlines (such as Northwest Airlines) don't have regularly scheduled flights to/from Punta Cana. These destinations are probably a charter. Bucs2004 (talk) 16:29, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Eos Airlines[edit]

Terminal 2[edit]

The article claims that Terminal 2 is only used for domestic departures, this is contrary to what I found when I was there with Terminal 2 been used by Copa Airlines and US Airways for international flights. If this section was sourced I would be less concerned - but it isn't. I am going to remove the domestic only comments as disputable and unsourced information, unless anyone objects here. The article does already comment that American Eagle uses the terminal for flights to San Juan - though I think it is more complex than that. Terminal 1 and 2 are directly connected terminals that share a check-in area and departure lounges, meaning there is probably not as clear separation of flights from one terminal than another as the article suggests. [1] says there are 8 gates, plus a VIP and FPO terminal. The source does not say, but I know there are, four gates in Terminal One, and four gates in Terminal Two. Terminal One and Two are actually the same building (with the latter being an extension of the former) and are defiantly both used for commercial flights, which is what the source may be referring to collectively as 'Punta Cana International Airport Commercial Terminal' - there is no reference at all to the name Terminal One or Two. No source there says Terminal 2 = VIP terminal, although there is a VIP room in Terminal Two as the source describes. Camaron | Chris (talk) 10:05, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Delta to Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul[edit]

Per NW/DL booking engines, DL flights to DTW and MSP will be operated by Northwest and not Delta. Yes, NW is a subsidiary of Delta but NW is still a seperate carrier (with different codes, crew, aircraft, etc.). So, Detroit and Minneapolis/St. Paul needs to be listed as "Northwest Airlines". Delta to Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul[edit]

Northwest Airlines is now a Delta Air Lines subsidiary, which means that NWA will no longer exist as of the end of this year. Now NWA flights are been partially moved to Delta Air Lines, which is the one whose's going to operate MSP-PUJ-MSP / DTW-PUJ-DTW routes. Delta has shown that two routes (with CVG-PUJ-CVG) in its website, thing that NWA has not published in its website.

Also, some of those routes are also operate by NWA (DTW-FCO, ATL-NRT), if you try to book the flights they are clearly martketed as NWA flights. B'ham35242 (talk) 04:25, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes you can book all Delta flights in NWA website and also all NWA (holly operated by Delta) in the Delta's website. That is a result of the merge.

Since Delta is the Parent Company of NWA, and NWA will no longer exist, PUJ-MSN/DTW routes should be listed as Delta Air Lines destinations. Regards... ChezSant (talk) 03:18, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Additional clarification: To reiterate what B'ham35242 has said: PUJ to ATL, CVG, JFK will be operated by Delta Air Lines. PUJ to DTW, MSP will be operated by Northwest Airlines.; NWA may be owned by Delta, but it remains a separate airline. The two have not merged yet; the merger is a stated goal for next year. Until then, they operate under their own codes, using their own aircraft.; So, once again: Delta and Northwest are NOT the same airlines. Not yet. Thanks. Clarify, DL already flies from PUJ to ATL/JFK. CVG is a new seasonal route beginning December 19. PUJ to DTW, MSP will be operated by Northwest Airlines. PUJ-DTW (which begins November 21), PUJ-MSP (which begins December 19) has not begun yet. Therefore, they are to be listed seperately. Already made a side-note to the table. Also, it is not "Delta Air Lines operated by Northwest Airlines". I noticed that next to TAM linhas aéreas service to Brasilia is written "(in breve)" What does it mean? (it has a meaning in Italian for example, but I don't think in English) I've never found this inscription on an airport page. I've provisionally deleted this inscription.
