Ignoring traditionally Punjabi Shahmukhi script[edit]

Totally not impressed with how Shahmukhi (the original traditional Punjabi script) has been completely ignored in this article. Gurmukhi is a recent script that was only concocted in the 18th century. Punjabi as a language has been around for much longer and was always written in Shahmukhi. Both scripts should be given the same respect, especially Shahmukhi, since it's the original script. --PAKHIGHWAY (talk) 17:34, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Factually incorrect, Gurmukhi article says early 16th century CE. Anybody with the requisite knowledge is free to add the shahmukhi equivalents, regardless of which is the older script. Perhaps you could help improve the article? —Pelagic (talk) 19:51, 20 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
