USA only[edit]

Final line of the opening paragraph:

Every one of the winning newspapers has been based in the USA.

Isn't this redundant, as the Pulitzer is a USA award for USA publishing? The sentence makes it sound as if the board awarding the prize is biased, when in fact they are following the rules. 71.234.215.133 (talk) 15:29, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, I simply removed it. It's an American award for Americans. --JayHenry (talk) 16:23, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't the Pulitzer be considered a political award now?[edit]

No, seriously. That is how it is viewed and that is how the decision to award it is made. 69.18.28.141 (talk) 20:02, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
