In Wikimedia:Commons there are a number of images for this painting, some of them stating its date as 1872 and others 1874. The actual date is the latter, 1874, as inscribed by the artist himself on the canvas and confirmed by Tate Britain on their respective webpage[1]. I'll amend the Commons' accordingly.--Smintheus Fellin (talk) 15:18, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not a Wikipedia editor, just knowledgeable about Rossetti. The article is specifically about the version of the painting in Tate Britain and formerly owned by Frederick Leyland, but the currently posted image is of a different version entirely (I think the Birmingham version, but am not quite sure). The Tate version is also in Wikimedia:Commons and should replace it, but I have no idea how to go about this. A visual comparison between the two makes the difference quite clear; the robe in the Tate version is distinctly more blue, for one thing, and a detail from it is featured in the Wikipedia article on Jane Morris. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.150.66.225 (talk) 21:48, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
