Prophetic continuity, or verus propheta, is a concept inherent in multiple metaphysical traditions. True, the prophetology of various Sufi thinkers, such as Ibn 'Arabi, have developed the idea of prophetic continuity in mature ways, but to associate this concept to "Pir Zia" of the Sufi Order of the West is misleading on several counts. First of which, the metaphysical epistemology of the Sufi Order, and of Pir Zia, are not representative of so-called classical Sufism, and as such should not be associated with it without proper qualification.

As such, this page should be merged with Universal Sufism, since as it now stands, it serves simply as an uncritical promotion of Pir Zia as a spiritual authority. 7up (talk) 18:57, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
