Query (unsigned and undated; pre-August 2014)[edit]

I have a Deputyship Court of Protection Order for my Mother who is in a home. We have been looking after her property for over a year now (4 bed 2.5 acres) and wish to caretake for her. Do we need to get gas and electric saftey assurances beforehand as there would be with a rental property ?. Her house would need rewiring if it were to go to rental market - (at great expense which we see as a drain on her funds ). We are happy to get it checked out by the relevant registered tradesfolk. What does the law say ?. There would be just myself and my husband (retired) living there. Mrs Hilary Woodacre.
