Copy/paste[edit]

Much (but not all) of the Graduate section appears copied and pasted from the Psych Department's Graduate Programs pages. The section should be redone in an editor's own words. Also, the other sections of the article should be checked for possible WP:COPYPASTE violations. Lagrange613 (talk) 17:18, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the library section is a paraphrasing of the Psych Department's own "History of the Psychology Library" as noted in the banner. It's probably close enough to constitute a copyright violation. Lagrange613 (talk) 02:46, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing that out, it was reported by bot at WP:CP. I removed a lot of text and tried to reword some other areas. It was added in initial revisions and become foundational.--NortyNort (Holla) 10:10, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Lagrange613 (talk) 15:06, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Alumni list[edit]

The embedded list of alumni is way too long. If the associated footnotes are included it takes up about a quarter of the article's height. It should be shortened significantly. I propose deleting every list item that doesn't include a link to a WP article about the alum. Lagrange613 (talk) 17:33, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I just pulled the trigger on this; it reduced the article's size by a third. The preceding lists of current and historical faculty could also use some trimming. Lagrange613 (talk) 00:25, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Demotion[edit]

I've culled the alumni list, but this article still has a number of issues, for example copy/paste and paraphrasing issues as I've noted above and dead links. It's therefore demoted to C class. Lagrange613 (talk) 00:37, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Updating will fix broken links[edit]

I have fixed a bunch of broken links on this page, but many of the link problems are caused by the fact that this page is about a decade out of date. So facts like the number of graduate students or the department's ranking have changed and there is no point in finding archive urls for old data. Leschnei (talk) 12:12, 10 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
