Isn't "finitely generated torsion group" just a tortuous way of saying "finite abelian group"? Also, some clarification is required for the "uniqueness" statement: the choice of subgroups themselves is not unique, even though the cardinalities of the subgroups are unique (up to re-ordering), no? True, finitely generated torsion group is a long way of saying finite abelian group. Also good point about the use of the word unique, I will clarify. This article is, of course, trivial at present, but it just seemed nice to have it there to link from where the term was used. Elroch 00:05, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
