Mirror Image of Trefoil[edit]

Could someone please explain why the mirror image of the (-1, -1, -1) trefoil knot isn't (1, 1, 1) ? (Or maybe it is, and the two links are equivalent.) --80.175.250.218 (talk) 22:44, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I suspect it is, but I'm not knot-certain. I think you might be able to unravel the answer from information given in tangle (mathematics). TricksterWolf (talk) 00:53, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edible Knot[edit]

The "edible knot" is cute, but kind of a stretch for (−2,3,7) given how the third tangle gets mushed together. Does it really belong here? TricksterWolf (talk) 00:41, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Merge from Montesinos link[edit]

I added the merge templates to this article and Montesinos link, as "Montesinos link" is a stub which discusses only pretzel links. Hyacinth (talk) 00:46, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This may not be a bad idea. Montesino's links are a bigger class than pretzel links (because you can have more complicated kinds of twists), but they are pretty much the same kind of thing. Brirush (talk) 12:40, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
