NPOV question

This article appears to consist mainly of advice on how to give a presentation. Remember to look up at the teacehr and say f u While the advice may be good advice, I'm not sure advice really belongs in an encyclopedia at all, let alone one with an explict NPOV policy. I've seen advice removed from other articles in the past. Perhaps some content should be moved to Wikibooks, Wikicommons, or another such project? Will a NPOV article about presentations ever be more then a dictionary definition? What do others think? --DragonHawk 02:33, 6 January 2006 (UTC)

One has to learn the ropes of public speaking including presentations. Maybe a link here to a more appropriate place but it should be included someplace so people can learn. People go to encyclopedias to learn something. Most of us think facts but why not "how-to's"? Cee

I strongly support the content of this article. People go to to encyclopedia's to learn things. This article is very useful. And so what if, as DragonHawk says, encyclopedias do not usually contain advice? Encyclopedias are not usually edited by their users, but this one is...Wikipedia should continue to diffrentiate intself from others with positive inovations -AZ

I went to this page looking for info to improve my own customer presentation. Granted, it is not as elegant a page (or indeed subject) as many of the other fine wiki submissions, it did have some places to check out. There is only one blatant ad at the end, which is not great crime. If it is the preferred wiki method to have this type of subject/submission in another section, that's fine, just as long as the wiki page points to it. I wouldn't consider myself a power user of powerpoint or of general wiki issues, so simple clear pointers that lead to useful advice is much appreciated. Thanks to all involved. Mark 26 May 2006

While I agree that the content of this article may well be valuable, please understand that I think it also violates numerous Wikipedia policies. First, Wikipedia is NOT a how-to guide. Regardless of how useful a how-to this article may be, that doesn't belong on Wikipedia. Wikipedia articles must also be verifiable and neutral, and must NOT include original research. Articles should also cite their sources. I do think this article could be made good (with a lot of work), and encourage people who have the knowledge and time to be bold and make those changes.
