Where Posadas stands, it faces East, and from the city it looks like Posadas is in the West and Encarnacación is in the East. It's the only part of the Paraná River that Paraguay seems to be on the East shore. I'd like that on the first sentence, "...located at the south of the province, on the left-hand (eastern) shore of the Paraná River, opposite Encarnación, Paraguay." the "(eastern)" would be deleted, because it's not a clear nor technical term.
