Lifts[edit]

"The building has two banks of lifts — the first serving the first up to the fifteenth floor" — is this sentence correct (though unwieldy!), and the ground floor is not served by lifts? Or is it perhaps an Americanism (with "first" meaning "ground"), out of place in conjunction with the word "lift" rather than "elevator", and indeed out of place in an article with a British subject? – Kieran T (talk) 14:56, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
