I feel bad deleting what little content there is in this stub, but that link to InPortRichmond.com is a good candidate for deletion. The site doesn't have much content, and it doesn't seem to have been updated in more than a year.

At the very least, there should be scare quotes around the word "official" in its tag line -- Port Richmond is a neighborhood, not a political entity, so there is no entity empowered to make anything the official anything of Port Richmond. It's sort of like how M&M's were the official candy of the millenium.

Collier photo[edit]

I added the collier photo to show Port Richmond was a busy place for ships between the colonial period and the 20th century. If you click on the photo of the colliers, it will direct you to a book -- published in 1875 -- about Philly that has a lot of information about Port Richmond. Unfortunately my venerable and ancient copy has some of those pages about Port Richmond missing. However, the Philadelphia Public Library should have a copy. I live down in Maryland, although I was born and grew up in Port Richmond.

There appears to be a lot of good information in those missing pages...

(Someone with a sharp pair of scissors apparently used my book for a school paste-up job... He or she is probably long gone now, but there should be a good copy at the Library.Wikited (talk) 02:14, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Added 3 photos[edit]

Added 3 photos (Music Hall, Allegheny Ave., and detail of St. Adalbert) after visiting Port Richmond today to pick up some kiebasy. I'm not too happy with the photo of Allegheny Avenue, but I'll try to get a better shot the next time I'm back in town. -- I drove to the east end of Allegheny to see if I could photograph something left of the port, but no such luck. Couldn't find anything except for the huge Tioga Terminal.Wikited (talk) 23:09, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notable residents redlinks[edit]

I just linked two names in the “Notable residents” sections. They are currently red, but Wikipedia policy is that red links are okay. The first is for Leon Trombetta, who has won an Emmy award and so may well be notable enough to have his own article someday. This link should definitely remain. There are already links to him from five other articles.

The other is for Mark Borkowski (actor), who may not be notable. Note that we do have an article for Mark Borkowski, but it is a different person with the same name. Both have IMDB listings, but the Mark Borskowski on this page seems to be IMDB's Mark Borkowski (I) while the Mark Borkowski of our article of that name seems to be Mark Borkowski (VI). —Mark Dominus (talk) 14:38, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
