Charlotte R. Willard[edit]

The article said

Charlotte R. Willard served as co-editor from 1893–1905. He was followed by ...

The pronoun "he" refers back to Payne, not Willard, the nearest antecedent, as it seems to. I've changed it to "Payne".

Talk about confusion! "Charlotte" is (almost?) always a feminine name.Mark Mandel The person is not further mentioned in the source, but search the web for "Charlotte R. Willard" and you'll find a great many hits, many of them to her writings on astronomy and related topics such as timekeeping, along with at least one photograph of her in an observatory. The first dozen or more hits are to libraries and collections including a biography, Charlotte R. Willard of Merzifon : her life and times, edited by Ernest Pye.

I'm afraid I have already wasted too much of my time on this, so I leave as reference just the search link above.
