This article incorrectly implies the Vibe is a General Motors designed vehicle, with the Toyota Matrix being a copy. It even states that the Matrix is assembled in Cambridge because of NUMMI capacity issues. In fact, this is a Toyota designed vehicle based on their MC platform. NUMMI produces a higher volume of Corollas than either plant's Matrix or Vibe volumes. Any objections to some edits? (Moike 15:31, 17 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

IS350 on Corolla platform?[edit]

Hey, someone is incorectly writing that Lexus IS350 is related to Corolla and all derivatives. Thats wrong and i will correct that.

Merge[edit]

Manufacturer/AKA[edit]

PrinceGloria, please go read the Infobox conventions. The Vibe's manufacturer is Pontiac, not the NUMMI plant. Also, no one ever agreed that the Matrix/Vibe were related. Vibe GT-R[edit]

I disagree. It is notable under the WP:Notability guideline, so it is encyclopedic. As for the claim of all manufacturers making show cars, that isn't even a relevant inclusion criterion. Therefore Vibe GT-R should stay. - Jacob Poon (talk) 23:00, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WP:Notability refers to whether a topic merits its own page.

Just because you don't feel it is special does not mean it should be excluded. Wikipedia:IINFO does not cover concept vehicles.

Ended in MY 2009 or 2010?[edit]

The last production date is listed as August 2009 but it also repeatedly says MY 2010. My understanding of model years (as a non-American) is that MY 2010 starts somewhere around August-October 2009 but can be as early as January 2009 in exceptional cases. Did the Vibe get a major update for its last few months slightly earlier than normal? Were the last vehicles licensed as MY2009 or MY 2010? Stepho talk 21:19, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

From what I've seen there was a 2010 model year for the Vibe. There are some listed for sale on AutoTrader, and it's listed on other US sites like Edmunds and fueleconomy.gov (although that doesn't prove the model was available - just that the EPA tested and certified it). Since production ended in August 2009, they are rarer than the 2009 model year Vibe. ---Vossanova ^o< 15:55, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Grey Market[edit]

In August/September of 2016 I was in N'djamena Chad. There were a handful of Vibes in the city. I can only guess they were low cost possibly of the bankruptcy and drive train repairable due to the Toyota drive train. Grey market cars can end up almost anywhere. It's so random and arbitrary that we can't really say anything besides "they can be imported into almost any country in the world."
