Imbalance[edit]

The article is based almost completely on single source, and lacks information on Polish held territories. I thus added the proper tag.--MyMoloboaccount (talk) 17:10, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Can you expand a little on what is needed here? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 16:36, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, personally, and just for starters, I notice that the section on "Pomeralia", counting generously is about 5.8k characters long. The section on non-Polish "Pomerania" is about 14k long. Seeing as how the Polish-Teutonic War was the major event during this period - and this is being downplayed as much as possible in the article, I'd say, yeah, it's unbalanced.Volunteer Marek (talk) 16:41, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think perhaps the issue is that it is unclear what Pomerania is? Is it a fixed geographic region, or a geo-politcal state(s) ie: the Duchy of Pomerania. At the beginning of this time period, Pomeralia became part of the Teutonic state, so really I don't think there is much to say about it between 1300 and 1500. As far as downplaying the Teutonic-Polish wars I can't see how that is. The main issue I see here, is the year by year detailing of events, as opposed to an general overview. That certainly is part of the issue, but it's a part which is not going to go away or which can be ignored. Particularly since there really are several "Pomeranias" and even those aren't all that well defined and change over time. Pomeralia/Gdansk Pomerania became part of the Teutonic state in 1308. But that doesn't mean that nothing much happened until 1500, or more precisely 1466, when it reverted back to Poland. There was the Polish–Teutonic War (1326–32), the Polish–Lithuanian–Teutonic War (1409-1411) and the Polish–Teutonic War (1431–35) among others. Or if you want the full list disambiguation page gives the idea: Polish–Teutonic War.
More examples, the Lizard Union is not even mentioned, nor is the Prussian Confederation, nor all the people involved in these. Volunteer Marek  21:18, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As a native English speaker, I see Pomerania and Pomerelia as two different things. So when Pomerelia becomes part of the lands of the Teutonic State, it becomes part of the history of Poland and the Teutonic Order, and thus covered in the relevant articles there. There does not need to be so much redundancy. The focus of the article is on the political entity that bears the name Pomerania. This to me makes sense. I don't think there is any intention to exclude Polish history, and when I read it, I think that Pomerelia has no separate history from the Teutonic order, after this period, not that it has no history. Anyway, is there a specific change you want to make? Tinynanorobots (talk) 12:55, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This article is close, but 1) few (very few, but still) paras are unreferenced and 2) imbalance issues as note above. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:23, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
