More than one type[edit]

It seems that "polyoxyethylene stearate" can mean more than one type of ingredient, depending on the number of repeating units in the polyoxyethylene portion. The current reference in the article refers to just one of them, polyoxyethylene (40) stearate. Should the article focus on the general meaning, or is only one specific type used as a food ingredient? -- Ed (Edgar181) 22:10, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
