Update time?[edit]

Latvia just had an election on October 7, but the page has not yet been updated. Could someone with more wikipedia knowledge than I do that?

Latgalian as an official language[edit]

I amended:

and, probably, Latgalian in respective regions.

to

and, in certain regions Latgalian is also granted the same status.

because of the dodgy English in the first, original sentence. Can someone please confirm I have got it right in the context of the actual status of the Latgale language? Lstanley1979 (talk) 20:20, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(done by reference to the Latgalian language article. I have left up the "citation needed" tag because we need to clarify this with a non-wiki source.) Lstanley1979 (talk) 20:23, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Important notice[edit]

The government section of the "Outline of Latvia" needs to be checked, corrected, and completed -- especially the subsections for the government branches.

When the country outlines were created, temporary data (that matched most of the countries but not all) was used to speed up the process. Those countries for which the temporary data does not match must be replaced with the correct information.

Please check that this country's outline is not in error.

Thank you.
