Continuity Errors[edit]

In several scenes in series 1 (I haven't seen Series 2 yet), where protagonists are conversing in the food market, guinea pigs were on sale. Guinea pigs are, of course, a food animal, but didn't come to Europe until about 1500 years after this series is set. Aidan Karley (talk) 23:50, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I hate to think how you are going to react to the bananae episode! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vince Calegon (talkcontribs) 14:20, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The body of the article has been edited to add mention of the "anachronisms," which is a better term than "continuity errors". And the bananae were funny. Aidan Karley (talk) 14:05, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I can't see any mention of "anachronisms" in the body of the article. 2.31.164.43 (talk) 02:05, 2 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"Website" link?[edit]

I wanted to fix the "Website" link at the bottom of the info box, which leads to a "Page-Not-Found" message on ITV's site, but I can't seem to find the link anywhere on the article's "Edit" page. I did a find-on-page search for "website" and one for the link's destination address "http://www.itvmedia.co.uk/plebs", but neither led me to the link in question. What gives? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thevictor99 (talkcontribs) 03:54, 8 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea from where it was pulling that website, but it is still coming up as "Page not found". I've added the website parameter to the infobox, pointing to page http://www.itv.com/hub/plebs Ryan8374 (talk) 07:59, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Marcus - Stylax History[edit]

In Episode 3.3 "The Vestal," Marcus's mother reveals that there is a longer history between Marcus and Stylax than the summary implies, otherwise how does she know that "as a boy, Stylax use to push raisins up his willy."

Actually, considering it is Stylax we're talking about ... maybe the script writers are setting up some future revelations. Aidan Karley (talk) 14:05, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Restructure[edit]

I've made various changes to the article to address a few problems:

  • The episode numbering for series 2 & 3 was inconsistent with series 1. I've taken care of that as well as switched the wikitable plainrowheaders to Episode table and added an additional column to keep track of the 'No. in series' versus 'No. overall'
  • Removed the cast table in favor of a more simplified list. This allows the episode tables to expand below the infobox without leaving a lot of white space above.
Per WP:TVCAST, the cast listing should not contain a count of the episodes in which a character or actor appears. This is something that can quickly get out of date and with the additional tracking of the first/latest episode in which the character appears, the table could be difficult to maintain. This is also something that is already handled by IMDB.
  • The air has been let out of the DVD release table and the release date for the Series 3 DVD has been added.
  • Added a series overview
  • Restructured some citations
  • Changed all instances of TBC to TBA. I'm not even sure what TBC means.
  • Commented out the episodes for which the titles are not currently known
  • The Premise section was largely lifted from https://www.itvmedia.co.uk/programmes/programme-planner/plebs. I've removed the offending text and did the best I could with it. I'm not a writer, so some expansion by others would be helpful. Ryan8374 (talk) 17:49, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to description of Aurelius[edit]

An editor seems to think that it's funny to change Aurelius' description as that of the show's Running gag. While Aurelius' response to being referred to as the "water boy" is funny, the description of "water-boy. Water-man" is not appropriate. Ryan8374 (talk) 21:56, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
