Same-sex households[edit]

I removed this text relating to same-sex households in Pleasant Ridge demographic section, because the NY Times reference used did not verify the information that was written. I suspected the numbers were not authentic or accurate, because it did not provide any actual statistics. The section I removed was:

Pleasant Ridge has a high percentage of same-sex couples. According to the 2010 Census, it has the seventh-highest rate of same-sex couples in the nation with 59.6 per 1,000.[1] It is adjacent to Ferndale, a suburb considered the heart of the LGBT community in the area.[2]

I went back and found multiple sources that do list Pleasant Ridge as having a very high ratio of same-sex households. The ratio is constantly going to change, but most sources I found mentioned Pleasant Ridge as at least having over 50 per 1,000 same-sex households. That ranks it as #1 in the state and in the top 10 in the nation (#7 according to the NY Times article and another source). I rewrote and reinserted the information into a subsection in the History section, because it is definitely noteworthy information. —Notorious4life (talk) 21:12, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
