Image of U.S. Bank Tower-less Los Angeles skyline[edit]

What is the point of it? The only reason I can come up with is that the person is proud to show off his work cutting out the U.S. Bank Tower from the Los Angeles skyline.--Benhealy 08:13, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Somebody hid the phrase "FUCK THE US GOVERNMENT" several times through out this article. They should be removed.

War Games[edit]

This is a fascinating section in the article. Is there any chance the planning of these was leaked to the terrorists? --Jolomo 17:03, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not certain of the veracity of this whole section. There are plenty of citations- but none of them seem to say conclusively that any of these wargames were actually taking place on 11/9/2001. The closest is this one: [1] which says "NEADS Commander Robert Marr initially thinks this hubbub is part of the NORAD training exercise (presumably Vigilant Guardian)." This doesn't actually say that Vigilant Guardian was actually taking place, only that one guy thought a training exercise might be happening. It's the article writer, not Marr, that brings up Vigilant Guardian. Other citations talk about these wargames, but give dates of over a year later, and still other citations are broken. Not logical... Germans and Arabs write 11.09.2001 for 9/11/2001[edit]

I was a bit surprised by this part of the text:

"According to Ramzi Binalshibh, on August 29, Mohammed Atta notified Binalshibh after Moussaoui's capture in an early morning coded telephone message, "A mate of mine bothered me with this puzzle and I was hoping you would help me solve it. Two sticks, a dash and a cake with a stick down. What is it?"

"Did you wake me up to tell me this puzzle?" Ramzi Binalshibh replied. Atta meant that the attacks would be on September 11; he chose when the attack would happen. The date that the attacks would occur on was uncertain until the phone call happened. A report by the September 11 Commission stated that Atta chose the date "so that the United States Congress would be in session."''

Ramzi Binalshibh and Mohammed Atta had followed university in Germany. Not like in the United States, in Europe we seldom (not to say never) gives dates by giving the month first and then the day but always gives the day first then the month. As for Arabs, they would write the date 2007/11/09 but as they read from the right to the left, the would also say the day first, then the month and finally the year. I would expect the message to have been written or spoken in German or Arabic. Either the report did not translate the message properly (to make the message more explicit to Americans) or I would consider it strange that the coded message would not have suggested the 9th of October. Here is a link to a Popular Mechanics article that puts to rest the Building 7 conspiracy theories. Unless, of course, you believe that Popular Mechanics is part of the conspiracy. In which case there is no hope for you to ever be convinced of reality. At the top of the article is a picture of Building 7 standing AFTER the other buildings had collapsed.
