Talk:Plain weave

Agreed, as written the relevance of the Designation section wasn't clear. I did some research and learned that ‘attābī is the 1630s adjective from which tabby, as in "tabby weave" (another name for plain weave), is derived. I adjusted the article to make the connection clearer. Enby (talk) 21:58, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
