Please respect the facts[edit]

As much as I feel compelled to defend the One True Faith, I must take exception to the efforts of so-called pro-Catholic editors who are seeking to conceal Ncube's sexual conquests from the devout. I mean really, here is a man caught in the act, so to speak, doing the office lady, so to speak, and this man is chaste? The facts of this case are not in dispute. What is in dispute is his justification for "doing the office lady". His actions raise a number of questions. For example, did Ncube use a condom? Or does he still believe, as His Holiness does, that condoms spread AIDS? Obviously, the man is a priest, so he is celibate. So what is his explanation for what was happening in the photographs? Or in the video? Come on guys, at least have some respect for the truth. The facts will be reported on this Wikipedia page. I am a retired Priest with a high speed internet connection and lots of free time.......and the man is still a Bishop. Get real!

The facts of the case, as we know them, are clearly in the article, occupying about 50% in fact. What is your problem, again ? Wizzy 16:45, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the obviously pro-Vatican attempt to suggest that the whole "smut with the office lady" thing was rigged. Surely, if this were the case, Mugabe would have exploited the perceived weakness of the Catholic clergy for small boys. In any case, if Ncube is indeed still celibate by the popular, and perhaps too-broad, definition of the laiety, then a source should be cited. Or, in the context of this case and many others, perhaps the Vatican can lay out its definition of celibacy (and it could be sourced here). Apostle3141 18:36, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sources are cited. Please do not remove sourced information. --Agüeybaná 21:31, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I was more selective in my edit this time. Here is what I objected to as POV:

"However, the reality of the scenario is that the pictures were most likely faked by the Zanu PF Government in order to discredit Ncube and that he was threatened with death if he did not resign."

I contend that this sentence is laden with "weasel words". Also note that I have been on the sharp end of the priestly sexual deviancy issue. Spent 15 years struggling with Canon law on the issue. I am now fearing eternal damnation as a result of my role in covering these things up (blaming the victim usually). As such I am absolutely sick of the excuses being made. In general, the old adage "there's not smoke without fire" unfortunately applied in 90% of the cases I personally was involved in. So you see I am also guilty of a little POV contamination as well....... Apostle3141 01:33, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That one is acceptable to remove. It is a POV. Well done. --Agüeybaná 01:46, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

People are heavily vandalizing the article.mangqina-Mazondo 00:28, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So it seems. Looks ok now though. I have just removed a sentence which was un sourced and not really in wikipedia style. Since this is a current event (the adultery part anyway) it may be worth adding the current event tag.

Pronunciation[edit]

I suppose "Ncube" is pronounced [ˈn͡ǀube]. – Kaihsu 12:38, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
