Is the Japanes pepper kazura the same as kudzu? If so, the page should list kudzu as a common name.Berkeleysappho 09:29, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

The assertion that the "pepper" referred to in a recipe compilation of 400AD might have been Allspice cannot be true if, according to Wikepedia's article on "Allspice" that plant was discoverd by Chrostopher Columbus and not introduced to europe and asia util the 16th century.
