I can suggest you have to buy Ordnance Survey maps but as described the modern route is often less easy to follow than the North Downs Way.Adam37 (talk) 17:32, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A good way would be to add coordinates for all the significant places on the route and then fill out a {{kml}} template. This generates the route in Google Maps. --Old Moonraker (talk) 12:00, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

According to an official history of the Ordnance Survey, the original source of the "enduring archaeological blunder" was General Sir Henry James, director from 1854 to 1875. (Owen, Tim (1992). What surveyor?[edit]

But I believe Edward Renouard James carried out the main survey work of Surrey in the 1860s. It seems likely he knew Albert Way, antiquary of Betchworth, who published a note on the Pilgrims' Way in Dean Stanley's 'Historical Memorials of Canterbury' in 1872. Why just a Kent project?[edit]

Why does this Kent Project have a monopoly on the Pilgrims Way when it passes through other counties too?

Pilgrims' Way is not a National Trail[edit]

I removed the reference to this being a UK National Trail from the infobox, because it isn't. The North Downs Way is the National Trail, and its route differs from that made up by Edward James in many places. Proposed v minor tidy[edit]

I'm thinking about putting the two hatnote topics into a new disambiguation page, leaving this as the primary topic. Thus there would be just one hatnote, going there. Navi/Compass boxes along the route[edit]

I have put navigation boxes along all villages that have sprung up below the North Downs along the (shortest) route, as far as I can, if anyone else would like to add any more then that would be appreciated, especially near Chilham.Adam37 (talk) 17:32, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
