At present this article is about the (fascinating) Ohio lead plate expedition, with little about Céloron himself. It would probably be best to split the two topics, assuming anything biographical about Céloron can be found.Hughespj 00:47, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • The Dictionary of Canadian Biography article that I recently listed as a source appears to be the most comprehensive bio. The man was definitely famous for his military exploits and, for editors of Canadian history, those links with New France. If you want to move the detail of the military expedition to a separate topic, I will watch and undertake a summary as part of his bio under DoCB. I'll watch for activity. • Allan W. Eckert's "That Dark and Bloody River" has a substantial section about the expedition. So does this article. Although 12 years after the original proposal, I would support a separate article for the expedition. Pickawillany[edit]

Allan W. Eckert's "That Dark and Bloody River" mentions that Celoron visited Pickawillany. I see it mentioned in a number of other sites to:

  • plenty more from this Google search

I think we should add mention of his visit to the article. Agreed? --David Tornheim (talk) 09:20, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
