Penguins are social animals. Just like any other social animal, penguins respect some penguins and shun others. Shunning would be done via pecking, shoving, fighting, or avoiding. Sounds like someone doesn't watch enough nature shows. Bob the Wikipedian, the Tree of Life WikiDragon (talk)
